Fab Aluminium Fascia Extra Union
Extruded aluminium union joining two lengths of Fab Aluminium Fascia Profile. Supplied in matching depths from 100mm to 450mm.
Fab Aluminium Fascia Extra Union joins two lengths of fascia, holding the faces flush and closing the joint against water.
It is extruded from the same aluminium as the fascia itself and supplied in the matching depth, so the union sits within the line of the run rather than standing proud of it.
On a long elevation the unions are what decide whether the eaves reads as one continuous edge or as a series of butted lengths.

What size gutter do I need?
It follows from the roof area draining into it and the pitch of the roof, not from the size of the building. A small domestic-scale extension is generally fine on a standard gutter; a large workshop or agricultural roof will overshoot one in heavy rain, which is the usual reason a gutter appears to "leak" when it is actually just full.
Give us the roof dimensions and how many outlets you can run, and we will size it.
What fall should a gutter have?
A common working figure is around 1:600 — roughly 5mm of fall for every 3m run — towards the outlet. Enough to keep it moving and self-cleaning, not so much that the gutter visibly runs downhill across the front of the building.
How far apart should the brackets be?
Around 1m as a general rule, and closer where snow is likely to slide off a metal roof, which is where most gutters actually fail. Always put a bracket close to each side of a joint and next to an outlet.
Do I need one downpipe or two?
Long runs generally want either an outlet at each end or a centre outlet with a fall both ways, rather than everything travelling to one corner. It shortens the distance water has to travel, keeps the gutter shallower, and gives you somewhere for the water to go if one outlet blocks with leaves.
