Express FS Single Facade Bracket
UK-made single facade support bracket in aluminium or stainless steel. Standoff sizes from 40mm to 400mm reference. Structural and thermal calculations included.
The Express FS single bracket carries a rainscreen or cladding rail off the structure at a set standoff. It bolts back to the substrate and receives an L or T rail on its face, holding the cladding line clear of the wall for insulation, drainage and a ventilated cavity.
The single bracket suits the majority of rainscreen and cladding fixings, at standard bracket centres.
Brackets are made in the UK and standard sizes are available next day. Structural and thermal calculations are included in the price, and every project is checked by an in-house engineer before production.
Pick the bracket size for the standoff you need and the material to suit the exposure - aluminium for most work, stainless steel where higher corrosion resistance or load is required.
- Type: single facade support bracket
- Material: aluminium (3-5mm, 5251 / 6063 alloy) or stainless steel (2-4mm, 304 grade)
- Bracket sizes: 40 to 400mm reference
- Standoff: 45 to 425mm on a 60mm deep L or T rail; 85 to 480mm on a 100mm deep rail
- Tensile strength: 190-230 N/mm2 aluminium; 530-680 N/mm2 stainless steel
- Design: to BS EN 1999 (Eurocode 9) and CWCT standards where applicable
- Manufacture: UK, to BS EN 1090-1, quality system BS EN ISO 9001:2015
- Rails: L and T rails available in 2.2mm 6063 T6 aluminium, 6m lengths
- Thermal: HI and standard thermal pads available with 3D thermal calculations
The standoff shown in the size list is for a 60mm deep rail. A 100mm deep rail adds 40mm. The reference number is the bracket size; the standoff is the distance from the substrate to the rail face.
Structural and thermal calculations are included. Send us your rail depth, bracket spacing, wind zone and substrate and we will confirm the bracket size, material and fixing for your project. Email sales@fabsupplies.co.uk with your requirements.
We offer delivery across the UK, subject to location and stock availability. Standard brackets are available next day. Delivery costs are calculated at the time of ordering.
For delivery, bulk orders or any other questions, email info@fabsupplies.co.uk or call us on 01268 203365 to discuss the best option.
Our team is available Monday to Friday during normal business hours.
Sizes, lengths, colours and finishes beyond the options listed on this page can usually be supplied. Tell us what you need and we will price it.
Useful things to include:
- Dimensions — or the drawings, if you have them
- Colour or RAL reference, and the finish you want
- Quantity, and roughly when you need it
- The delivery postcode
Send that to us and we will come back with a price and a lead time.
What is the difference between secret fix and a cassette system?
Both give a facade with no visible fixings. A secret fix panel hooks onto a rail and slides into place, so individual panels can be lifted out later for access or replacement. A cassette is a folded tray hung on a carrier system, which gives crisper returns and deeper shadow joints and generally suits larger panel sizes.
Cassette tends to read as more precise; secret fix tends to be easier to maintain. Tell us the elevation and we will talk it through.
What fire rating do these systems have?
The aluminium panels themselves are non-combustible and the current listings state A2-s1, d0. But a facade is a build-up, not a single product — the insulation, membranes, cavity barriers and fixings all count towards how the wall performs, and on many buildings the specification is set by regulation rather than preference.
Do not take the panel rating as the wall rating. Send us the build-up and we will confirm what applies.
What colours can I have?
Panels are powder coated to order, so effectively any RAL. Metallics, textures and anodised-effect finishes are available too. Because it is made to order, the colour is fixed at the point of ordering — worth getting a sample of the actual finish before committing on a large elevation.
Are these made to order?
Yes. Panel sizes, the carrier system and the finish are all specific to the job, so there is a lead time rather than a shelf. Ask us early — the design of the setting-out is usually the long pole, not the manufacture.
